orecchiette with broccoli, pecorino, and italian sausage

It's been a while.

so delicious

ugh bb

ooh gurl

When I first learned "orecchiette" meant "ear" in Italian because this pasta looks ear-shaped, I expected myself to find this pasta harder to enjoy, but no, this shit was fucking delicious so I think that means I came across a good recipe. I found it on the back of the pasta box lolol, but it's Italian imported!!!

Basically:

  1. Cut up your broccoli and Italian sausage. I imagine using hot dog sausages will not taste that great, considering how much more delicious Italian sausages are. Mince some garlic and red pepper, too.
  2. Boil your orrecchiette until al dente I think idk I refuse to boil my pasta beyond al dente so idk how this would taste beyond al dente.
  3. While your pasta is boiling, fry the garlic, red pepper, broccoli, and sausage together in olive oil over medium/medium high heat. I think you're supposed to fry the garlic first but whenever I do that my garlic overfries so.
  4. When that pasta is done boiling, drain and toss it into your broccoli mess. I'd turn the heat off now and just mix/let it sit for another couple minutes or so.
  5. Grate/sprinkle that pecorino all over with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Eat and die.
